I really enjoy on-line document writers and spreadsheets. I use them all the time to keep track of what I have done or to calculate different things. What is really awesome is that it is saved on-line for use anywhere and on any computer.
Why is this a great tools?
I was at work on Friday and decided to plug in my USB drive to get a spreadsheet that I had worked on for quite a while. Well, you can guess what happened. My USB drive was shorted out by the computer. The Computer's USB drive had bent prongs and "smoked" my drive. Now this is the first time I have ever lost data in my life. I have heard others say back this up and back that up, I never really listened. I am now a believer of backing up work and on-line storage.
I guess I have learned a valuable lesson!
Oh yeah, did I mention that I had to move computers and this was my first time on this computer at work. Made for a great bad start for the day.
- I do enjoy the fact that it is very similar to other software that we have all used!

I switched schools last week so I had to re-do my caseload spreadsheet. I worked on it the whole time we were out for the weekend and snow days. I worked on it on my home computer. I THOUGHT I saved the updated spreadsheet to my USB drive. When I got back to work on Wednesday and started to work on it again I discovered, much to my extreme dismay, I hadn't. It was home. On my laptop. So, yeah, I feel your pain. I think I'm going to have to start using these online document editors a lot more.
